As they visit New York, a pair of cowboys have to become unlikely heroes when their friend is kidnapped. Sonny Gilstrap (<a href=">Kiefer Sutherland) and Pepper Lewis (<a href=">Woody Harrelson) are two cowboys from New Mexico who compete in rodeos, but their friendship's been strained when Pepper fails to show up at a major competition. They are fortunate that Sonny's cook, Nacho (<a href=">Joaquín Martínez) acts as a buffer between them. After his peace making efforts fail, Nacho goes home, he then gets a phone call from someone telling him that his daughter, Teresa (<a href=">Cara Buono) has just arrived in New York from Cuba. But the man tells him that he still has an unpaid balance, which of course he doesn't have. Nacho then leaves and goes to New York and leaves Sonny a note. When Sonny reads the note, he proceeds to follow him but he's broke, so he asks Pepper if he will loan him some; Pepper decides to go with him. The two bicker along the way. When they get there they get help from a New York Policeman, Sam Shaw (<a href=">Ernie Hudson). They find Nacho in the morgue. All what's left for them to do is find Teresa. I really enjoyed this movie. One of Woody's best. Keifer was good too. Not a new story line but new a spin on the Rescue of young girl from a Bad situation. <br/><br/>One of the best Kissing Scenes I've ever seen. Every time I have a shot of Tequila, I think of this movie and the fun things you can do with a Lime.<br/><br/>Also one of the funniest(?) most bizarre interrogations I've ever seen using a calf. Not very probable but just thinking a crook could be convinced to talk like this was a Hoot! Moronic, formulaic, and dull, this offering has Woody and Keifer as bickering Cowboys who come to New York. That's it. Really. What can you say about a movie that aspires to be as deep as Crocodile Dundee? Woody deserves better.
